In honor of the 18 year anniversary of this release, it is finally making its way to a digital outlet. The Machinedrum remix project entitled Mergerz & Acquisitionz was the largest and most ambitious remix disc to come out on Merck. It was also the fifth and final remix cd that Merck put out over its reputable career. These tracks linger around the aggressive cutup idm/hiphop style Machinedrum is known for, but branch out in a number of ways. Dense IDM reworkings, upbeat and aggressive sample reconstruction, on down to chiller downtempo, even melodic ambient tracks, this is a cd that meets a lot of needs.
Originally limited to 2000 physical 2xCD copies.
